Integrity and excellence are the foundation of everything we do.
Integrity. Excellence. Always.
Pedigrees Matter.
A pedigree is more than a list of names—it’s a living blueprint shaped by integrity and defined by excellence.
True quality is never accidental; it is built through principled decisions, health-conscious breeding, and an unwavering commitment to longevity, ensuring dogs that are not only beautiful in the ring, but resilient, capable, and deeply woven into the lives they touch.

Our Story.
We’re different. There isn’t a kennel here. We are a home, where the dogs are a valued part of the family. They sleep on the bed, jump on the couch, bark out the window at the Amazon driver, take road trips to dog shows and events, go on hiking adventures and their favorite—PupCups at Starbucks!
I’m proud that to say that I’m a third generation dog person. My grandparents raised show Collies in the 1950’s, and then my mother and I discovered our love for Aussies back in 1976—when we went to look at an Appaloosa mare for sale, and came home with a little tuft of red merle fur instead.
For myself, I’ve served on both the USASA and ASCA Board of Directors, and was a Charter BOD Member for the United States Australian Shepherd Foundation. I’ve co-chaired putting on national events as well as multitudes of regional events, and have had the privilege of titling dogs for clients and my own bred-by dogs—which have competed in conformation, performance and stock.
Aside from national winning accolades, I consider one of my greatest personal achievements as being awarded the youngest ASCA Senior Breeder Judge in history, in 1987. Nothing offers me more honor than having the trust placed in me to judge for affiliate shows and National events, over multiple countries.
So while we may be small in numbers, we aren’t short on knowledge.
Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions about my dogs, available pups, or the breed in general. I’m always happy to help, and even talk about other subjects — like remodeling 100 year old homes and collecting mid century modern furniture!

Our Favorite Things.
We believe in buying quality products that do what they say they’ll do. You’re far better off to buy something that works vs. repeatedly buying something cheap that falls apart or doesn’t live up to it’s hype.
Here are some of our tried and true favorites.
Say Hello.
We know there are a lot of choices out there. The decision to add a family member is a big one. Aussies typically have a life span of 12-15 years and you should plan on making a lifelong commitment before getting one — or any companion for that matter.
However, we do also understand that sometimes life just happens. You can rest assured knowing that for the lifetime of your companion, if you need to re-home them, you can return them — no questions asked.
We also want to be clear that we expect your companion from us to be a part of your family — live in the house, have an active lifestyle, receive quality nutrition and vet care as needed.
When you acquire a companion from us, you are also getting a lifetime of knowledge and resources at your fingertips. We are always available to talk through training methods, grooming tips and tricks and overall well-being.
If you think you might want to try your hand at showing or competing in performance, we can certainly help you — no matter where you are located! We have resources and recommendations nearly everywhere.
We don’t believe in co-ownership. And neither should you. Many breeders will only place puppies with a strict contract where they remain a legal owner. We don’t believe in that. What we do believe in is properly vetting our companion homes for consideration, which includes talking about housing, training, expectations and goals — your overall lifestyle and how your new companion is a part of that.
When you acquire an Aussie from us, you aren’t just getting a companion — you become part of our family.
Your Questions, Answered
The short answer is yes. Aussies are a double-coated breed, with a longer top coat that helps protect against inclement weather, and a shorter, downy under coat that helps insulate from the heat and cold. They do require regular brushing and combing to keep the coat and skin healthy, and keep the shedding to a minimum.
Do Aussies shed?
How often can I bathe my Aussie?
When using quality bathing products, your Aussie can be bathed weekly if necessary. Typically, you’ll find their weather-proof-ish coat to be quite resilient and bathing once a month will help keep them feeling fresh, as well help remove any dead coat when they are shedding.
When can I start obedience training my puppy?
Right away! Aussies are very smart and truly enjoy learning. We recommend starting out in a Puppy Kindergarten class, followed up with basic obedience training. It’s extremely important that you also know how to correctly give the commands you are trying to teach, so a class environment not only offers you one-on-one guidance from a trainer, but also gives your puppy important socialization skills.
Do I need to crate my puppy?
Absolutely. Crate training begins with us, but when you take your puppy home, you’ll need a safe environment for them to sleep, eat and just have quiet time. Think of a crate as their den — their bedroom. It’s a safe place where they can relax, which is extremely helpful when you need to leave them at home while you run errands and not worry about them getting hurt or chewing on your favorite shoes. That being said, a crate is not a baby-sitter, but rather a necessary tool in providing a happy and healthy environment.
What is all this DNA business about?
Reputable breeders DNA test their dogs to protect the integrity of their breeding program and, more importantly, the future of the puppies they produce. Genetic testing helps identify inherited conditions before they can be passed on, allowing breeders to make informed, responsible choices that prioritize health, soundness and longevity. It’s a proactive commitment to producing dogs that don’t just look exceptional, but live long, healthy lives.
